The Dorset Dogger

One of the great things about living in Dorset is being able to be a frequent visitor to Monkey World - the rescue centre for Apes and Monkeys.

Founded by the late Jim Cronin and his wife Allison, Monkey World has been the subject of a successful TV series. The centre has rescued and given nicer living conditions to all sorts of wonderful monkeys and primates.  It has also successfully bred species of monkeys that have been in danger of extinction.

Its a great day out at Monkey World It was there I met Sally, and soon this song came to me

A newpapers article about this song

Hello Sally!
Hello Sally!  Sally Hello!
It’s good to see you
I’m sure you know
Cos you look into my eyes
When I  say your nameClutching your twig,
I somehow figure
That you feel the same

Hello Sally! Sally Hello!
You’re a gentle lady
I like the way that you roll
Cos every look in your eyes now
Is the look of  love
When you’re playing with the little monkeys
You take care of.

Oh Sally when you look at me
It’s just like you know
The kind of life I have to live
The places that I go

Hello Sally!  Sally Hello!
How does it feel?
Now you’re the star of the show
Picture in the magazines
Face on the TV
Sally – you’re a natural
Megastar  Chimpanzee!

Hello Sally!  Sally Hello!
It’s good to see you
I’m sure you know
Cos you look into my eyes
When I  say your name
Clutching your twig,  I somehow figure
That you feel the same
