Sorry I've not been in touch. Been a bit busy over the last few weeks. It's the dance season. I was at Holmfirth with Rumworth, then Chippenham, also with Rumworth. From there I continued down south, doing the date at Seaford, and promotional floor spots around  Sussex. Then there was the Coastline Bluegrass Event at LLandudno, playing for Mind The Step (Appalachian dancers). Then Middlewich Folk & Boat festival with Mind The Step. Then the Abram Morris Dancers, doing the annual Abram and districts tour. Then MTS again, this time at Conway (North Wales Bluegrass Festival). Tomorrow I'm up at the Clogfest in Skipton with the clogging side of 7 Stars Sword & Step Dancers. The next solo date is Aug. 5th, at Kiveton Park , and I'm just sorting out some promotional spots around that, in S. Yorks and thereabouts.

John Kelly first sang in a folkclub in 1968.  Since his first paid engagement in 1969, he has performed solo and in various folk groups, Ceildh bands, concerts, festivals and on TV and on radio.  After a period away from the folkscene and some years of sporadic activity, he is now making a full time return to to the folk clubs.

His repertoire consists mainly of British traditional songs, ballads and music, accompanied on a variety of instruments.

He has a new album out - the track from the new album you heard when the site came on line is Spenser the Rover.  Here is another one from the album you can listen to:-
